Jake Poindexter brings swing-and-miss upside and big-game poise to Lipscomb’s rotation
In the 2025 season, the Lipscomb right-hander logged 30 innings with 28 strikeouts and earned ASUN Pitcher of the Week honors after a seven-inning shutout gem against Villanova, showing he can dominate when his stuff is clicking. He’s a sturdy 6-foot, 195-pound starter with real take-the-ball confidence, but his profile is still a bit boom-or-bust: in 2025 he also had outings that went against him, including a 5.98 ERA across 2024 and a 1-3 record early in 2025. If your team wants strikeout ability, competitiveness, and starter traits, he’s worth a serious look.
