Rodriguez Gives St. John’s a Workhorse Righty with Bite
In the 2025 season, David Rodriguez logged 51 innings for St. John’s with 27 strikeouts and a 5.65 ERA, showing the Red Storm will trust him to take the ball and compete deep into games[1]. He’s a sturdy 6-foot-1 right-hander with a starter’s build, and his value is in durability, mound presence, and flashes of run prevention—he delivered multiple five-inning outings and a five-inning shutout against Seton Hall in 2025[1]. For a team needing innings, toughness, and a young arm with starter upside, he’s worth a look[1].
