Duke Stone is emerging as Mississippi State’s Sunday-starter swingman with real SEC strikeout bite
In the 2026 season, Duke Stone has turned into a valuable arm for Mississippi State: he posted 70 strikeouts in 47 2/3 innings with a 3.78 ERA and earned SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week honors after a career-best shutout outing at South Carolina.[5] At 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds, he brings size, power, and a starter’s mentality, plus a fast-rising ability to miss bats that shows up in big moments.[12][5] He’s a good fit for a staff that wants upside, competitiveness, and a pitcher who can grow into more responsibility.
