Cece Hanson is the Jackrabbits’ speed-and-culture spark in the outfield
In the 2026 season, Cece Hanson has carved out a valuable role for South Dakota State by appearing in 46 games, making three starts, and mostly working as a pinch runner and right fielder while scoring nine runs and delivering her first career hit in Summit League play. Her game is built on speed, athletic versatility, and a winning pedigree from Rosemount, where she helped power two state titles and earned Minnesota’s 2024 Ms. Softball honor. Add the 4.0 GPA and Academic All-Summit recognition, and she looks like the kind of high-IQ, high-effort player coaches love to plug into a roster.
