2025 NEC Second-Team DL with 3.5 Sacks and Elite Grading
Wayne Coleman, a 6'1", 270-lb sophomore DL for Central Connecticut State, emerged as the 2025 NEC's most graded interior defender (87.1) and earned Second-Team All-NEC honors after recording 3.5 sacks and 41 tackles in 12 games. His differentiator is explosive first-step intensity and consistent hand usage, not just size; he led CCSU in sacks and was named Rookie of the Week early in the season. No injury history reported, and his personality is described as relentless and team-focused. He’s a high-fit DL for any team needing a pass-rushing interior presence with proven FCS-level production and elite grading.
