Doak Walker Week Honoree & 1,000-Yard Breakout for Akron
Jordan Gant is a high-volume, durable workhorse for the Akron Zips who earned 2025 Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week honors after a breakout season culminating in 1,032 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 213 attempts. His differentiator is elite consistency and intensity: he logged four straight games with 20+ carries and seven games over 80 yards, proving he can dominate with a 5.73 yards-per-carry average while absorbing heavy contact without injury. A redshirt junior with one year left, Gant brings a physical 205-pound frame, a 5.73 YPC average, and a team-first mentality that makes him an ideal fit for any roster needing a reliable, high-intensity RB who doesn't need the ball handed to him—he demands it.
