Aliyah Carter brings disruptive defense and playmaking bite to CSUB's backcourt
In the 2025-26 season, Aliyah Carter has been a low-usage, high-impact guard for Cal State Bakersfield, averaging 3.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 19.9 minutes per game while appearing in 11 games and starting 2.[1] Her best differentiators are defensive activity and secondary creation — she pressures the ball, generates steals, and can help a lineup without needing touches.[1][5] The offensive numbers are still modest, but her steal rate and all-around energy suggest a guard who can fit a role where toughness, pace and defensive disruption matter more than scoring load.[1][5]
