Macy Brandl gives Hawai'i a workhorse right-hander with proven strikeout stuff and big-game reliability
Brandl is a high-usage, competitive right-handed pitcher whose calling card is durability: in the 2025 season, she led Hawai'i in innings, wins, complete games, shutouts, strikeouts, and opponent batting average, earning All-Big West honorable mention.[2][10] She translated that profile from Fullerton College, where she was the 2024 3C2A and league Pitcher of the Year after posting a 1.33 ERA and 178 strikeouts in 168.2 innings, showing she can carry a staff at a high level.[1][11] She looks like a fit for teams that value toughness, volume, and a starter who can take the ball and keep games quiet.[3][4]
