Jake Frantl is a depth QB with a strong high-school pedigree and a practice-value profile
Frantl is a former all-state Wisconsin prep quarterback who threw for 2,900 yards and 35 touchdowns as a senior at Hartford Union, but at Pitt he has not appeared in a game and spent his time as a walk-on developmental quarterback. His calling card is program value more than box-score production: he brings size, experience in the system, and a reputation as a reliable day-to-day practice arm rather than a proven game-day answer. For a team, he fits best as a depth and culture piece, not as an immediate impact quarterback.
