Jai Boyd brings explosive playmaking to Western Carolina’s WR room
In the 2024 season, Jai Boyd showed real big-play upside for Western Carolina, finishing with 19 catches for 307 yards and averaging 16.2 yards per reception, with a long of 56 yards. The 6-foot-2 receiver is a vertical threat with good speed/explosion traits and a track record of creating chunk plays rather than just moving the chains. His background as a two-way high school standout adds toughness and versatility, and he already proved he can earn meaningful snaps as a redshirt freshman.
