Towering Left-Hander with Raw Spin Potential Battling Command Woes at WKU
Western Kentucky's 6'3", 201-lb lefty Dominic Monaco, a Chicago native from the class of 2024, boasts impressive arm talent with a fastball hitting 84 mph and spin rates up to 2,295 rpm per Perfect Game scouting, plus solid early-count command that tantalizes pro scouts. In the 2026 season, he's posted a 6.75 ERA with a 1-2 record and 18 strikeouts, building on a 11.57 ERA freshman year where he fanned five in 4.2 IP (.250 opp BA); his differentiator is that high-spin arsenal from a projectable frame, ideal for a developmental program seeking high-upside arms willing to refine control—perfect fit if your team values raw tools over immediate polish.
