6'3", 220-pound Dukes linebacker still waiting for his college breakout
Rottinghaus is a big, rangy linebacker prospect for Duquesne with a strong high-school résumé, including helping Pine-Richland win WPIAL and state titles and earning all-conference defensive-line recognition in 2022.[1][3] At Duquesne, however, he has not yet recorded game action or statistics through his first three seasons, so the appeal is more projection than production right now.[1] His differentiators are size, experience in a winning program, and the kind of under-the-radar toughness that showed up in his three-sack WPIAL title-game performance.[1][3] He looks like a fit for a team betting on development and upside rather than immediate stat-sheet impact.[1][3]
