Jesse Rusinek is Texas Tech’s electric two-way freshman — and he’s already a weapon
In the 2026 season, Jesse Rusinek flashed as a rare two-way impact freshman for Texas Tech, hitting .442 with a 1.131 OPS, 16 steals in 18 tries, and a disciplined 16-to-15 strikeout-to-walk profile before a season-ending injury cut his year short. He also contributed on the mound with 11 appearances and was recognized as a Baseball America Freshman All-American and Big 12 All-Freshman Team selection. Why care? Because he brings speed, contact, versatility, and real game-changing juice — the kind of competitor who can fit a lineup or bullpen in a hurry.
