Wagner DB Daren Omoregie: A 6'0", 205-lb Junior with Elite Tackling Intensity and a 57-Tackle 2025 Season
Daren Omoregie, a 6'0", 205-lb Junior DB from Lynn, MA, stands out for his relentless tackling intensity and physical presence, recording 57 total tackles (12 solo, 45 assisted) in the 2025 season at Wagner, including a key stop on Joshua Roberson in the 2025 game vs. Stonehill. Unlike many DBs who rely solely on coverage, Omoregie differentiates himself as a hybrid defender who excels in run support and open-field tackles, evidenced by his 3.0 tackles-for-loss and consistent involvement in critical plays. His journey from Maine (7 tackles in 2024) to Wagner shows rapid growth and adaptability, with no reported injury history and a reputation for high-intensity, team-first play. For coaches seeking a DB who brings toughness, reliability, and a 'big-body' presence in the secondary, Omoregie is a strong fit—especially for teams prioritizing defensive depth and tackling excellence over pure speed.
