Gage Griggs brings steady contact, speed, and glue-guy value to USC Upstate
Griggs profiles as a polished, high-IQ infielder who consistently puts the ball in play and adds sneaky baserunning value—he hit .296/.383/.444 in the 2025 season for USC Upstate, with 42 hits, 28 RBI, and 10 steals in 43 games, then kept showing up in 2026 with timely RBI knocks and run-scoring plays. He looks like the kind of gritty, versatile middle-infield piece coaches love: reliable, disruptive on the bases, and composed in pressure spots, even if he’s not the loudest power bat in the room.
