Explosive young QB with a live arm and dual-threat juice
Boyd is a developmental quarterback who has flashed efficiency and red-zone value in limited action for Memphis, going 1-for-1 passing for 14 yards and adding a 4-yard rushing touchdown in 2024. At 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, he brings a workable college frame and some mobility, which gives him upside in a spread or tempo offense. The bigger question is consistency and ball security, since his sample is very small and there is not enough evidence yet to call him a proven starter. If you want an athlete with upside rather than a finished product, he is worth monitoring.
