Cooper Nicholson is giving UNC middle-infield pop with real transfer value
Nicholson has emerged as one of North Carolina’s most productive bats in the 2026 season, hitting .258 with a 1.043 OPS through 45 games and leading the Tar Heels with 10 home runs[1]. The former NJCAA standout brings proven power, a track record of production, and right-handed pop from the infield, making him more than a fill-in addition[2]. He looks like a fit for teams that want an experienced, damage-capable bat who can change a game with one swing rather than just make contact[1][2].
