Rakim Lubin

old-school, physical forward with proven rebounding pop

Rakim Lubin is the kind of frontcourt piece coaches love for his physicality, toughness, and work on the glass—at CSUN in the 2016-17 season, he averaged 8.5 points and 5.2 rebounds while shooting 53.2% from the field, and earlier in his college career he showed he could survive higher-end competition too. He’s a rugged 6-foot-8 forward with a reputation for intensity, but his career has also been shaped by transfer-mandated sitting and a winding path through college hoops, so the fit is best for a team that values blue-collar rebounding, interior defense, and energy over stretch skill.
