Elyssa Coleman was UTSA’s rim-protecting anchor and a high-usage frontcourt producer
Coleman stood out as a physical, high-impact forward for UTSA, combining shot-blocking with strong rebounding and efficient interior scoring; in 2023-24 she averaged 9.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 45 blocks and 23 steals across 30 starts, and UTSA credited her as the program’s all-time blocks leader with 112 career blocks. She also showed big-game upside, including a 32-point, 19-rebound night, which helps explain why she was more than just a stat sheet line: she brought toughness, paint protection and energy that can reshape a defense.
