Chris Billingsley Jr. brings size, strike-throwing upside, and midweek reliability for Mississippi State
In the 2026 season, the 6-foot-4 right-hander logged 23.2 innings across 17 appearances for Mississippi State, posting a 6.08 ERA with 17 strikeouts and 14 walks; that stat line says “work in progress,” but the buzz is about his power frame, starter/reliever flexibility, and the fact that the Bulldogs trusted him in multiple midweek roles. He arrived with a strong junior-college résumé and enough arm talent to keep scouts interested, though the command has been the separator he still needs to sharpen.
