Dawit Crain enters Sacramento State as a **developmental specialist** with real upside: at Yucaipa HS he posted **73 touchbacks on 141 kickoffs**, averaged **41.5 yards per punt** with a **59-yard long**, and finished his senior year with **71 points** and three field goals from beyond 40 yards.[2] At **6'6"/215**, he brings uncommon size for a punter and a strong high-school résumé, but he redshirted in 2024 and did not appear in a game, so the fit is about upside and polish rather than instant production.[1][2]
