From Solid JUCO Scorer to Bearkats Bench Spark and Now NM State Assistant Coach
Terryonte Thomas, a 6-4 guard, exploded for 13.1 PPG (655 total points) across two JUCO seasons at East Mississippi with 45% FG and 258 boards, but settled into a reliable 2.9 PPG, 2.0 REB, 0.5 AST role (42.5% FG, 84.6% FT) in his 2020-21 senior year at Sam Houston—perfect for teams needing gritty, high-motor depth players off the bench. No injury flags, just a versatile wing with Columbus, MS toughness; now thriving as NM State assistant coach (elevated July 2024), signaling leadership poise that makes him a coachable, team-first fit anywhere.
