steady Furman guard who brings shot-making, poise and point-guard feel
John Davis III is a reliable backcourt piece for Furman, averaging 7.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the 2025-26 season while shooting 41.3% from the field and 38.6% from three, which points to a guard who can space the floor and keep an offense organized.[2] His earlier Furman role included starting 34 games at point guard and producing 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game, suggesting experience, composure and enough playmaking to fit a team that wants a smart, low-drama guard who can handle responsibility.[3]
