Anthony Torreso is a power-hitting catcher coming off a breakout 2025 season
Torreso looks like a real offensive weapon for Davidson: in the 2025 season he hit .351 with 9 home runs, 39 RBI and a .482 OBP, and he capped it with a monster Atlantic 10 weekly honor after a .667 stretch with 4 homers and 13 RBI against Rhode Island.[1][4] What makes him interesting is the combination of bat speed, on-base skill and catcher value, plus the fact that he bounced back from missing the 2024 season due to injury.[2] If you need a right-handed hitter with middle-order upside and some edge, he’s a strong fit.[1][2]
