Jack Cecil brings strikeout punch and bullpen grit to Ohio State
Jack Cecil is a junior right-handed reliever for Ohio State in the 2026 season, and his profile says he’s a sturdy 6-foot, 205-pound arm with a real pitchability story after stops at Mercyhurst and South Mountain Community College. His differentiator is competitive relief work: Ohio State notes he struck out 20 in 22 innings in 2025, and in 2026 he delivered a career-high three strikeouts in 2.0 innings against Purdue. He looks like a useful bullpen fit if you want a strike-throwing competitor who can give you honest innings and isn’t afraid of big spots.
