High-Competitive Right-Handed Pitcher with Strong Work Ethic and Projectable Arm
Luke Matta is a right-handed pitcher who has appeared in multiple games at the Division I level, showing flashes of strikeout ability with six punchouts in limited innings at Villanova in 2024. While his ERA has been high, his profile reflects a hardworking, coachable student-athlete with a projectable arm and solid breaking ball velocity, traits that make him a developmental fit for programs valuing work ethic, resilience, and long-term upside over immediate dominance.
