Cairo McCrory brings length, grit, and defensive juice to UMass
Cairo McCrory is a 6-foot-5 guard whose calling card has been competitive two-way play: UMass described him as a straight-line driver who finishes through contact, a strong rebounder for his position, and someone who takes pride in guarding the opponent’s best scorer. In his 2020-21 season at UMass, he averaged 4.6 points and 4.5 rebounds, which hints at a wing-sized guard who impacts possessions beyond scoring. If your team wants toughness, defensive versatility, and someone who can help ignite the break, he’s a fit; if you need a pure bucket-getter, that’s not his loudest superpower.
