App State’s strike-throwing, weak-contact bullpen weapon
In the 2026 season, Max Tramontana emerged as a reliable right-handed relief arm for App State, posting a 2.61 ERA, a 1.00 WHIP, 34 strikeouts in 38.0 innings, and holding opponents to a .189 average across 24 appearances.[3][7] He’s been described by App State as a “premium strike thrower” with a unique cutter and a knack for inducing weak contact, and he finished the year strong with a 1.23 ERA over his final 12 outings.[4][3] Add in Academic All-District honors and a 3.68 GPA, and you’re looking at a smart, steady, high-IQ bullpen fit who brings polish, poise, and bite.[3]
