FAU’s versatile righty showing starter upside
In the 2026 season, Ryan Buckler has emerged as a useful, flexible arm for Florida Atlantic, making 10 pitching appearances with two starts and flashing a career-best three innings and three strikeouts against Presbyterian. He’s a 6-foot-1 right-hander who can work in relief or spot-start, and his calling card is pitchability rather than overpowering stuff—he’s shown he can handle different roles, compete on the Cape, and even thrive in starter looks there with a 2.63 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in 2025. He’s a fit if you want a savvy, adaptable arm with starter traits and room to keep climbing.
