Tarpey’s Transfer Spark: NC State’s Top Hitter Now a Tar Heel INF with Elite OPS and Unmatched Grit
Michele Tarpey, the 2025 NC State leading hitter (.348 BA, 70 RBIs), has transferred to North Carolina and immediately delivered a 2.417 OPS with 4 RBI in just two games, proving her differentiator is not just stats but relentless intensity—she once threw over 700 pitches in a row. Her INF versatility, graduate-level business mindset, and ‘Tarpey impact’ (3 hits, 4 RBI early season) make her a high-fit, battle-tested INF for any team seeking grit, consistency, and a player who elevates teammates under pressure.
