A physical, late-blooming frontcourt piece with real rebounding instincts
In the 2023-24 season, Avery Childers saw limited action for UMass, appearing in three games and finishing with two points, one rebound, and one steal in the Atlantic 10 Tournament against Duquesne[1][2]. The bigger story is her upside: at 5-foot-10, she brought a strong high-school résumé with 17.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game as a senior, plus two-time all-state honors, suggesting a rugged, do-it-all forward who competes hard and fills multiple roles[1][7].
