Aliya Ventura adds depth at first for CSUB, with a contact-first profile and steady glove
In the 2026 season, Aliya Ventura has provided Cal State Bakersfield with depth at first base, hitting .136 with 3 hits in 15 games and showing a contact-over-power profile rather than loud raw numbers. She’s a 5-foot-9 right-handed bat from Eastlake High who redshirted in 2025, so the arrow is still pointed up, and the fit is about upside and development rather than finished product. The best pitch: a young infielder with size, a workable bat, and room to grow into more impact.
