In the 2024 season, Jason Essex played in one game for Tarleton State after transferring from Iowa State, where he appeared in two total games across 2022-23 but did not record meaningful statistics. He brings a strong frame at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, and his recruiting background stood out: he was rated a three-star prospect and ranked among the nation’s top-100 wide receivers coming out of Winnetonka High.
