Sean Jenkins brings starter upside and strike-throwing feel to ECU’s rotation
In the 2025 season, Jenkins logged 70.1 innings over 19 appearances and 12 starts for East Carolina, posting a 5.12 ERA with 52 strikeouts and 20 walks while holding opponents to a .261 average. His fit is built on workload and poise: he worked deep enough to earn multiple six-inning outings and even a save, showing some versatility. The key differentiator is his ability to miss bats without losing the zone too often, giving ECU a durable right-hander with room to grow if his command sharpens.
