steady NIU guard with playmaking feel and rotation value
In the 2024-25 season, Daveon Balls gave Northern Illinois a useful two-way guard presence, appearing in 29 games with 12 starts while averaging 3.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 20.0 minutes per game.[3] His appeal is less about raw scoring and more about functional guard skills, poise, and the ability to help organize an offense on a team that struggled overall in 2025-26.[3][4] He looks like a fit for teams that need a dependable connector, not a high-usage star.
