Jack Torbett Brings Proven Mid-Order Infield Value to UNC Asheville
Torbett arrives at UNC Asheville after helping Walters State reach the 2024 NJCAA national title game and earning Region VII Tournament MVP honors, a strong sign he has already produced in pressure spots [3]. Listed as an infielder, he has enough experience to project as a ready-made contributor rather than a long-term development play, which should appeal to teams wanting a steady, competitive bat-and-glove presence in the middle infield [3]. The clearest differentiator is his winning-track record and ability to step into a larger role quickly, though public stats on his 2026 UNC Asheville impact are limited [3].
