Compact Golden Lions RB with Receiving Flair in 2025
In the 2025 season, graduate RB Dae'Trell Cooper posted 26 carries for 116 yards (4.5 avg) and 6 receptions for 49 yards (8.2 avg) over 7-10 games for Arkansas-Pine Bluff, showcasing versatility beyond pure rushing in a run-heavy SWAC attack.[1][3][6] At 5'8" and 190 lbs, his **compact, durable frame** thrives in short-yardage bursts, with no noted injury history and a steady progression from redshirt freshman to multi-year contributor.[2] Coaches love his **receiving upside** as a safety valve—perfect for teams needing a third-down back with HBCU grit. Why care? He's a low-risk, high-motor differentiator ready to spell starters.
