Atticus Huffstutler brings pop, size, and upside behind the plate
In the 2026 season, Akron catcher Atticus Huffstutler hit .250 with a .725 OPS in 24 at-bats, adding 2 runs, 6 hits, 1 double, 1 home run, and 6 RBI across 11 appearances and 3 starts. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound redshirt sophomore gives the Zips right-handed power and a physical profile that scouts like at catcher, and his grand slam against Youngstown State showed real game-changing pop. If you want a backstop with offensive upside and some edge, he’s a sneaky-good fit.
