Alexis Gravel is McNeese’s strikeout-heavy lefty who missed 2026 with injury
In the 2025 season, Alexis Gravel flashed real weaponry for McNeese: a 4-3 record, 3.45 ERA, team-high 67 strikeouts in 47 innings, and a .236 opponent average, with a conference-ranking punchout rate that made hitters uncomfortable fast. He’s a 6-foot-1, left-handed power arm with swing-and-miss upside, but the big asterisk is availability — McNeese said he would miss the 2026 season after an injury, which matters a lot for any team weighing him as a short-term impact arm.
