Xavier Moronta brings left-handed pop and veteran on-base skills to FAU
In the 2026 season, Xavier Moronta has been a useful, high-contact left-handed bat for Florida Atlantic, posting a .239 average, .329 on-base percentage, and .313 slugging with 16 hits, 7 RBI, and 1 home run. He stands out more for savvy plate appearances than loud tools: he draws walks, can be deployed in multiple offensive roles, and has shown clutch value with a pinch-hit two-run homer against USF. The upside is steady, not flashy, but that’s exactly the kind of mature, game-ready depth a coach can trust.
