Jolon Cabello brings a live leg and all-purpose punt value to Tarleton State
Jolon Cabello, a sophomore punter for Tarleton State in the 2026 season, looks like a dependable field-position weapon with enough versatility to keep special teams coaches grinning. In his 2025 stint at UTPB, he played all 14 games, averaged 41.52 yards on 44 punts, landed eight punts of 50-plus yards, and pinned opponents inside the 20 seven times, showing both hang time and placement chops. He also comes from a multi-sport background, started at quarterback in high school before moving to punter, and has already proven he can handle pressure and do a little extra on the side.
