Rider’s steady rim protector: Dera Nd-Ezuma brings size, blocks, and low-usage reliability
In the 2024-25 season, Dera Nd-Ezuma gave Rider a modest-but-useful frontcourt presence, averaging 2.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 12.7 minutes per game while shooting 46.5% from the field. The value here is defense-first: he protects the paint, plays with length, and doesn’t need touches to impact the game. He’s not a volume scorer, but he can fit a team that wants a disciplined center who accepts a role and brings energy, rim deterrence, and straightforward interior toughness.
