Matt Mayfield is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound junior WR for Mississippi State who has already shown he can create real value in limited touches: in the 2026 season opener against ULM, he caught 1 pass for 9 yards, and in his 2025 junior-college season he posted 13 catches for 274 yards and a touchdown at Copiah-Lincoln. His appeal is the frame, developmental upside, and the fact that Mississippi State wanted him once, lost him, and came back for him again—usually a good sign.
