Freshman sparkplug Colt Brown is already a two-way asset for Louisiana
Colt Brown entered the 2026 season as a true freshman RHP/catcher and quickly became a lineup stabilizer for Louisiana, starting 64 of 66 games while hitting .314 with 8 home runs and 53 RBI. His calling card is impact on both sides of the ball: he led the Cajuns in hits, doubles, total bases and slugging, and he earned Freshman All-America and All-Sun Belt honors for it. He looks like a high-motor, high-trust player who fits teams that want toughness, bat-to-ball skill and defensive reliability.
