Jace Trautner gives Lipscomb length and strike-throwing from the right side
In the 2026 season, Lipscomb senior right-hander Jace Trautner logged 52 innings across 18 mound appearances and seven starts, finishing 1-4 with 39 strikeouts and a 6.85 ERA. He’s a durable 6-foot-3, 210-pound arm who can handle both starting and relief work, and he earned Academic All-ASUN honors in 2026. The upside is workload versatility and enough bat-missing to matter; the caution flag is that his run prevention lagged behind the innings he gave the Bisons, so he profiles more as a steady depth piece than a headline ace.
