Wright State Freshman Forward Kellen Pickett Delivers Tournament-Final Blockbuster with 17 Points, 7 Rebounds, and 4 Blocks
Kellen Pickett, a 2025-26 freshman forward for the Wright State Raiders, immediately separated himself as a high-intensity two-way differentiator by posting a 17-point, 7-rebound, 4-block performance in the Horizon League Tournament Final victory over Detroit, including a perfect 6-of-6 from the line and 3 steals [1][2]. His ability to protect the rim while finishing efficiently (5-of-8 FG) and drawing fouls showcases a rare blend of defensive aggression and offensive polish for a first-year player. With no reported injury history and a clutch gene evident in his tournament-winning shot, Pickett is an elite fit for teams needing immediate defensive presence and versatile scoring without the risk of a red-flagged medical profile [2].
