Navy RHP Jackson Beattie: flashes strikeout ability, but command has been the separator
Jackson Beattie is a Navy right-hander who showed real swing-and-miss upside in the 2024 season, striking out 20 batters in 27.1 innings across 10 appearances with five starts, but he also posted a 10.54 ERA and 10 walks, which points to command consistency as the key developmental hurdle.[3] He’s worth watching because the arm talent is real and Navy used him in a meaningful hybrid role, but he looks like a fit for teams that value upside, patience, and pitcher development over immediate polish.[3][5]
