Western Illinois' Smooth-Shooting Guard with Rising Stock
Anthony Jones, a versatile guard for the Western Illinois Leathernecks, stands out as a smooth forward-like playmaker who handles the ball like a true point guard, excelling at running floaters and showing marked improvement in his 3-point shooting each year per 247Sports scouting. His guard skills in a forward's frame make him a differentiator in transition and spacing the floor, with no notable injury history and a consistent upward trajectory ideal for teams seeking multi-positional scoring punch off the bench or as a combo threat—definitely worth scouting for mid-major or low-major programs needing shooting and craftiness.
