Tristan Dietrich gives Liberty a long, projectable lefty arm with strikeout pedigree
Dietrich is a 6-foot-4 junior left-hander for Liberty in the 2026 season who brings a real power-pitching resume: he was drafted in 2023, struck out 67 batters in 31 senior innings at Owen J. Roberts High School, and at Liberty has been used effectively in relief, including a scoreless inning in the Flames’ 8-0 win at High Point and the win against UNCG in March 2026. His value is the combo of size, left-handed angle, and swing-and-miss upside, which makes him the kind of arm coaches like to stash for matchup leverage and late-inning run suppression.
