Elijah McNeal is already delivering clutch damage for UC Davis
In the 2026 season, freshman Elijah McNeal has flashed immediate-impact pop and big-moment toughness for UC Davis, including a walk-off RBI double against UCSB and a grand slam later in the year. He was tabbed by D1Baseball as the No. 4 Impact Freshman in the Big West before the season, and UC Davis lists him at 6'3", 207 with a right-handed bat and glove at shortstop/INF. The standout here is upside: physical, draft-level talent, and the kind of bat that can change a game fast—exactly the sort of player coaches love when they want juice, not just safe singles.
